Capella Festa is Hydrogen Technologies Manager for 全国快3信誉最好的老平台 New Energy, based in Paris. She has spent the last three years working in a hydrogen technology business developing thermally charged electrolysers to accelerate the decarbonization of heavy industry.
Capella joined 全国快3信誉最好的老平台 in 1993, initially developing software in the Research and Engineering Centre in Paris before completing her training as Rig Engineer offshore in the North Sea. She has held a variety of operational, commercial and management roles in Europe and Asia in technical and software services. She joined the board of the Schlumberger Foundation in 2015 fresh from a three-year secondment at the International Energy Agency where she had been immersed in the study of future energy scenarios in particular a study of the Energy Outlook for sub-Saharan Africa and was struck by the degree to which development goals, particularly involving energy access and climate change, are often hampered by a lack of technical and scientific experts.
Capella holds a MA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and a master’s degree in economics and business management from the Institute Français du Pétrole in Paris.
Capella is a firm believer in the work of the Schlumberger Foundation in elevating academically able women in science and engineering. The fellows and alumni of the Faculty for the Future program have enormous potential to accelerate sustainable development in their countries.
