MEGADRIVE F
Fluid loss control additive
Suitable for use in all paraffin-, mineral oil-, or synthetic-based drilling fluid systems.
Secondary high-performance OBM emulsifier
The MEGADRIVE S secondary high-performance OBM emulsifier is a concentrated and powerful emulsifier with drill solids wetting capability designed to be paired with the MEGADRIVE P primary high-performance OBM emulsifier for nonaqueous drilling fluids. The MEGADRIVE S emulsifier aids in stabilizing emulsions, which leads to better emulsion stability, oil wetting of drill solids, and HPHT fluid loss reduction. It is also useful as an oil-wetting agent for drill solids, thereby reducing the adverse effects of water and drill solids contamination.

Concentrations for initial formulations range from 1 to 3 lbm/bbl [2.85 to 8.5 kg/m3], but a pilot test is required for optimal results. The recommended treatment levels depend on the oil-water ratio, anticipated temperatures, desired properties, and the other products used in the formulation.
There should be a 3:1 ratio of MEGADRIVE P emulsifier to MEGADRIVE S emulsifier in typical applications. Because the MEGADRIVE S emulsifier is used in conjunction with oil, environmental restrictions concerning the use of oils and oil-based fluids should be considered.
Bioassay information is available upon request. Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
The MEGADRIVE S emulsifier is packaged in 55-galUS [208-L] drums and 275-galUS [1,000-L] totes. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames. Store away from incompatibles.
