Schlumberger recently participated as a platinum sponsor of the Women's Global Leadership Conference in Energy, an annual forum which brings together hundreds of industry professionals to hear inspiring speakers, share best practices, and network with others in the industry.
The 2021 event featured Aparna Raman, President, Reservoir Performance at Schlumberger, as a keynote speaker on the topic of the changing landscape of the energy industry and the opportunities this creates for industry leaders to adapt and evolve.
The company also participated at the Women’s Economic Forum held in Ecuador. Schlumberger speakers included Claudia Jaramillo, Vice President and Group Treasurer, on the global business leadership panel and Maria Augusta Cueva, APS Manager, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, on the governance and gender equity panel.
Achieving gender balance across Schlumberger is ongoing and has been a focus for the company for more than 25 years.
To support our broader inclusion aims, Schlumberger has internal diversity employee resource groups. And, specifically, to support our gender balance focus Connect Women is a Schlumberger networking community where employees of all genders meet regularly to exchange ideas, promote gender equality, and support career progression within the company.
Last year, Connect Women organized 18 global webinars and roundtable discussions to promote self-development and knowledge sharing. Another internal networking group, Men for Change, seeks to engage men to become advocates of gender diversity and inclusion.
