The Torque-Action Debris Breaker™ tool is deployed downhole to break up stubborn sand and scale concretions that resist removal by other methods. Jarring down mechanically efficiently reduces time required for descaling. The linear force from each downward jar action is transmitted to the cutter through the unique upper section of the tool. In this upper tool section, a part of the downward force is converted into rotational torque so a new cutting edge is presented with each downward jar. This rotational movement clears the cutter teeth and makes for rapid debris removal. Different shoe sizes are available for the main body. Internal support sleeve limits loading on the torque spring should the tool become wedged in solids. Left-hand threads prevent tool backoff downhole. Debris is recovered by subsequent bailer runs.
